Designed by Chinese jeweler Wallace Chan, A Heritage in Bloom became the most expensive diamond necklace in the world when it was unveiled in September 2015. Set with an incredible 11,551 diamonds weighing a total of 383.40cts, the design is inspired by Chinese culture and features symbolic figures such as bats and butterflies. It includes 19 more divine colorless diamonds, 600 pink diamonds,114 icy green be jadeites, and 72 white jades. It takes 47000 hours to complete this masterpiece. The beautiful and exciting thing about the necklace is that the necklace has a modular design that can worn in 27 ways.

The Cullinan Heritage, which ranks as one of the top 20 largest high-quality rough diamonds ever found, continues to receive much interest since its appearance.


“The Cullinan Heritage”, a 507 ct clean white diamond, recovered from Cullinan Diamond Mine was named in honor of the significant day it was unearthed, 24 September 2009, which is Heritage Day in South Africa.

The Cullinan Heritage was offered, for sale on February 26th 2010 through a closed tender at the Diamond Exchange & Export Center in Johannesburg.

The stone was sold for USD $35.3 million, the highest price achieved for a rough diamond to date.

The company’s master craftsmen have spent the past three years at facilities in South Africa analyzing and perfecting the best approach to cutting and polishing the diamond. Chan is recognized by many as the greatest living Asian jewelry artist. He founded his own gemstone carving workshop when he was 17 and in 1987 he invented the “Wallace Cut,” an illusionary carving technique that transcends dimensions. After a decade immersed in Buddhist art, he created the Great Stupa for Fo Guang Shan, Taiwan.


He was the first Chinese jewelry artist ever invited to exhibit and deliver speeches at the Gemological Institute of America headquarters. In 2012 and 2014, he was the first and only Asian artist ever invited to exhibit at the prestigious Biennale des Antiquaries in Paris.
